I would rather read someone's insight about the science of what we are looking at in the image - composition, dimensions, distance, time, etc. In the face of an incredible sight, why do we feel the need to stop thinking and surrender to the mythology of Christianity? We should attempt to understand what we are looking at and not take refuge in ideas we can't explain.

By the way, the verb is "sculpt," not "sculpters," and you mean to say "themselves," not "theirselves."

Rob,
Thanks for the helpful editing comments. Sorry, but I am not a great scientist. I do think you ought to reconsider your lack of faith in God as you well noted some things are beyond human understanding and yet you clearly believe they can be understood. Who then does understand? I have a suggestion, but then again you think it a myth. Claiming ignorance by your own admission is not a good idea.
I welcome more discussion if you would like.

Are your musings limited to the Christian God? Because, I'm Jewish, and I like my God, and I think she (or he) is pretty damn awesome to have made and let us discover Her (or His) wonders. I don't quite agree that Coincidence and Beauty don't often go together, and I'm of the personal opinion that Science and God should. Then again, define Coincidence.

Great question! My musings are not limited by the "Christian" God. He is limitless! :) I would say that the God I speak of is the God of the Bible who is the same God as the God of Israel. When he speaks in the Torah or the New Testament as the Christians call it. He is revealing his nature and character. I must accept that His own revelation about Himself is not a lie and is therefore accurate.
To define coincidence with this in mind. The God of the Bible clearly states that all things are with and for his purposes. Therefore they are only coincidental from our perspective.
In a personal way I often here people say, "small world" when they are amazed by a coincidental meeting with another person. I like to reply, "No, Big God!" Our Big God does things beyond what anyone else could ever plan or think. Have a great day, and thanks for visiting.

Acts 14:17 reminds us that "God did not leave Himself without witness". This is another great witness, of a huge number of witnesses, to God's great, eternal power.

But, "A fool says in his heart 'there is no God'" (Ps. 14:1)

Your exactly right when you outline that you don't have to look very far to see the wonders of God. Yea!!!!

Amanda,
Thank you for sharing your story. I know that it is not easy to be faced with a medical challenge at a young age. I too was angry at God first for doing this to "me." Then I realized that it wasn't about me and I trusted in God again. That is also when my healing began. You are an amazing young lady with so much to share with others. Thanks again for your testimony.

Thank you for sharing this, Amanda. One of the hardest lessons I've had to learn is to trust God. For years, I felt that I had to do everything myself. When faced with problems, my reaction was as expected. I struggled with the "Why me" question. Non-Christians can have the perception that we as Christians have life easy. We have struggles equal to others, (equal but not the same) the difference is in how we react to these struggles or complications.
